“The Concept"

1.    DESIRE: Allow desire to live... The will to create is a desire of the heart and soul.  Everyone has the right to sing irrespective of their level of ability. There are no exceptions!

(Because of your likeness to your creator you are creative.  No child of the Universe can loose this ability because it is inherent in what he or she is. A Course In Miracles)

2.   FEAR: Fear is a difficult challenge... although risk taking is important we do not have to take on more than we are ready for. Small firm steps can cover great distances. We are better able to face our fear in an environment of love, support and healing.

3.    SELF VALUE: You're enough now...  Nothing need be added to, or subtracted from your present state of being. Offer yourself …as you are… in the recognition that you are “enough” now.

4.    INDIVIDUALITY: You're the gift...  Where creativity is concerned… individuality is universality. Our uniqueness is our contribution to the world. Comparison to another is a fruitless endeavor.  You are the “greatest gift” that you have to offer the world.

5.    FAILURE: Failure is a concept of the ego that implies judgment. Making a so called mistake is intrinsic to the learning process but the word and its implications are unnecessary. Through observation rather than judgment loose the strings of perfectionism and “let” what is within reveal itself.

6.    CONNECTIONS: You're already connected... Creativity and spirituality are synonymous terms and in truth must be seen as interdependent an inextricably connected. One cannot exist without the other.

7.     THE TEACHER: Teach yourself... experience is the teacher.  The creative process is purely experiential. It cannot be taught. One can begin to understand it through active participation.  Everything that is truly necessary for us to know already lies within. 

8.    ALLOW:  “Let” yourself be swept away by your love for the music.  Allow the heart to determine where your journey leads. Recognize that it is in the silence between the notes and in the stillness between the thoughts that you can discover your true identity as a spiritual and creative being.
