What do you do at Healing Singing?

We sing...

All we do is sing.

As we sing we allow the music wash over us.

We immerse ourselves in it, bathe in it.

We let go of the rules.

You know the rules.

The rules that were ingrained through conditioning.

Like...

I have to produce a beautiful sound to be able to sing rule .

Or the... I have to be a good musician rule.

Or the...I have to entertain everyone listening rule.

You know, all the....R U L E S.

We "let" the rules fall away one by one, to discover the joy of singing without constraints.

Without constraints we can experience open, sky like, boundless creative freedom.

It is not what we sing or how we sing, those things don’t matter. What matters is why we sing.

Our intention is to use music to re-connect within our own hearts, with our inner desires, with our deep inner urgings, with our inner “Selves”.

By taking our desire for a better world, our desire to heal, to improve, to prosper, to be better, to feel better, to sing better, to grieve, to love, to be loved etc. and to “infuse” the music with that desire in such a way as to actually "loose" ourselves in all of it.

When we’re lost in the music, (no longer self conscious) in the midst of the activity, we not only feel more alive but we find what perhaps through the endless distractions of modern life, we forgot we had.

We find that part of us, the "Self" that isn’t lost, that in truth doesn’t need anything, and ironically is rooted in serenity and equilibrium.

All healing emanates from this state of being.

And so the connection between healing and singing.
